NetVanta Ethernet Switches and Total Access Multiservice Access Gateways to be
used for Hosted VoIP Services

(NASDAQ: ADTN) today announced that Verizon Business is adding ADTRAN's
NetVanta Ethernet switches and
Total Access 900 Multiservice Access Gateways (MSAGs) to its list of
certified Voice over IP (VoIP) Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) for its VoIP
services, including IP Flexible T1, IP Integrated Access and Hosted IP Centrex.
This will provide greater flexibility and choice for existing customers, and
increase Verizon's appeal to new customers.
