Cavalier Telephone Deploys Paradyne's 8000 BLC for IP Video Services


Mid-Atlantic CLEC to deliver IPTV services over Paradyne ADSL2+

Largo, FL - AUGUST 22, 2005 [Press Release] - Paradyne (NASDAQ: PDYN), a leading provider of triple play triple play Broadband Loop Carriers (IP BLCs) and Ethernet access equipment, today announced  that Cavalier Telephone will be using the 8000 BLC platform to support Cavalier's entry into the IPTV video service business. Cavalier Telephone, based in Richmond, Virginia, is a competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) serving residential and business customers across five states and the District of Columbia. Cavalier’s IPTV services include broadcast television, video on demand (VOD), and other entertainment services.
