Reseller Channel
Represents Considerable Growth Potential Given Company's Recent Product
Focus on LAN and WAN Application Visibility
Rockville, MD (Nov. 21, 2005) Press Release —
Visual Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:
VNWK), a leading provider of network and application performance management
solutions today announced the immediate launch of its ProVisual Partner Program. The
program is designed to provide Value Added Resellers (VARs)
with the support and competitive pricing they need to
capitalize on the growing demand for Visual Networks’
application performance management solutions.
Visual Networks’ flagship solution, Visual UpTime®
Select™, provides in-depth, real-time
and historical information that enables organizations to
intelligently manage application and network performance and
availability across the entire enterprise. Over the past
year, the product has evolved from a WAN-based focus to a
full application and network performance management solution
with software modules that auto-discover applications and
obtain end-to-end performance data for those applications.
The company has also released a suite of Ethernet appliances
and VoIP software solutions that are ideal for the VAR
distribution channel.
“The new ProVisual Partner Program provides Vandis the
incentive to invest in Visual Networks’ software solutions
and offer them to our customer base,” said Andy Segal,
president of Vandis, a value added reseller based in
Albertson, New York.. “Visual Networks is making a clear
commitment to the reseller channel with this program and
we're glad to be a part of it.”
With this new program, VAR partners can increase their
margins by selling a proven solution that can be
differentiated and cost justified due to Visual UpTime
Select’s ability to deliver a wealth of operational
benefits. Utilizing Visual UpTime Select, clients
can run their infrastructure more efficiently by improving
network availability and having the ability to monitor
real-time application performance across the enterprise.
“With the evolution of our products and technologies into
new, rapidly growing markets such as application performance
management, VoIP, Ethernet and Citrix, we have a significant
opportunity to broaden our distribution channels and overall
market coverage,” said Mark Skurla, Executive Vice President
of Worldwide Sales at Visual Networks. “We are increasing
our commitment to the VAR channel and have invested
significant resources in the ProVisual Partner Program and
the development of our new channel-friendly technologies.
Consequently, we are in an ideal position to provide our
current and prospective VARs a comprehensive program that
provides the technologies, sales support and incentives they
need to succeed in the marketplace.”
The ProVisual Partner Program is a comprehensive,
two-tier program that provides a high level of sales,
marketing and technical support and lets VARs sell a
solution that offers the flexibility to meet clients’ budget
needs, large or small. The program offers MDF, opportunity
registration, and a wealth of joint marketing materials. The
dedicated VAR extranet provides access to pricing tools,
sales collateral, sample presentations, and detailed
technical information as well as an online demonstration
system.
“Visual Networks’ launch of its new ProVisual Partner
program provides VARs the sales and marketing support and
competitive pricing that they need to be successful in the
application performance management space,” said Al Higgins,
President of Interlink Communication Systems, a distributor
based in Clearwater, Florida. “Visual Networks’ ProVisual
Partner program rewards and protects those VARs that are
making significant investments in creating demand for Visual
Networks’ solutions.”
