Verso Plans to Exhibit at Fall VON 2006

ATLANTA, GA – (August 15, 2006) - Verso Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: VRSO), a global provider of next generation network solutions, announced today it will present the Verso MetroNet VoIP Overlay solution, the NetPerformer SDM-9220 and SDM-9230, and the Verso Verilink 8000 Series at Fall VON 2006 hosted at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (Booth 561). The VON show, slated for September 11-14, is the world’s largest VoIP and video event in the world.

The MetroNet VoIP Overlay is a turnkey, NGN offering for metropolitan market deployments that enables key services and features for enterprise and residential VoBB subscribers. It can be deployed into virtually any metropolitan market over any broadband medium including cable, DSL, wireless, fiber, satellite, and microwave. 

Verso will also showcase NetPerformer, a SIP-based voice and data router that combines the functionality of a data router and a voice gateway in a single device, enabling enterprises to create digitally converged networks.  NetPerformer's compression of voice and data traffic over a single WAN enables enterprises to bypass the PSTN on calls between its locations, eliminating toll costs.  NetPerformer is also capable of supporting videoconferencing, distance learning, and other applications.

The Verso Verilink 8000 Series provides a highly interoperable, cost-effective bundled voice and data service solution for enterprises, via a highly flexible platform based on a plug-and-play architecture that integrates directly into existing phones. Verso began offering the series in July 2006 after acquiring the majority of assets of Verilink, including the Verilink suite of access, multiplexing and transport products.
